Oceans
Each course has 3 different options
- Classroom based session that is available to everyone £99pp
- Classroom followed by a snorkelling session in one of the local bays or from the boat £149pp
- Classroom followed by a Try Scuba Dive in one of our inland locations or in a local bay £199pp
- For our certified divers, we will take you on a guided dive in a local bay or from the boat depending on the course you have picked from the courses
SSI Marine Ecology
In the SSI Marine Ecology specialty program, you will learn how ocean organisms interact with each other and their environments.
You will be taught how energy flows through communities and the links between different ocean ecosystems.
With your newfound knowledge, you will appreciate the marine life you dive with even more! Start online today and earn your SSI Marine Ecology Specialty certification.
SSI Shark Ecology
In the SSI Shark Ecology program, you will learn how to interpret shark behaviours, why they are often misunderstood and how dive with sharks. This is a perfect course for shark fans and for divers who are nervous about sharks but want to overcome their fear.
SSI Marine Mammal Ecology
In this program, you will learn what makes marine mammals distinct from land mammals, discover where they live, explore their physiology, and how to identify various species. You will also learn about marine mammal conservation – a great way to help save the ocean.
SSI Fish ID
The world’s oceans are home to thousands of fish species, and you will encounter plenty of these fascinating creatures on your dives! In this course, you will be taught all the skills and concepts you need to identify common families of Caribbean, Indo-Pacific and Red Sea reef fish.
SSI Coral ID
Coral reefs are prized among divers and rightly so; drifting over a healthy reef filled with bustling marine life is magical. These precious ecosystems are fascinating, and the SSI Coral Identification specialty program is the best way to learn more about coral reefs and get the most out of your reef dives. Want to learn more about our wide variety of Nudibranch in the UK? Anglesey is the perfect place! Join us on our full day workshop where we will complete a session educating you on their behaviours, identifiable features, eggs and much more!
Following this we will head to one of our bays where we know we will find these type of nudis for you to identify them for yourself and see them for real!
